What Sets Us Apart

Evangelist Kershaw graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology and furthered her studies by obtaining a Master of Arts degree in the area of Speech-Language Pathology from South Carolina State University. She has a Master of Science in Reading and Literacy and has earned her Doctorate in Education from Walden University.  She is employed with Richland County School District One. After 34 years of service, she will retire at the end of this school term, 2020. 

 

Evangelist Kershaw is a faithful worker in her church, serving as First Lady to her husband and the congregation.  She is actively involved in Sunday School, the prayer ministry, and the music ministry. Evangelist Kershaw also serves as a Bible Study teacher, a licensed Evangelist Missionary, and a Women’s Ministry leader.

 

She has crossed denominational lines both locally and out of state, ministering at prayer breakfasts, luncheons, banquets, seminars, women’s day services, women’s conferences, and revivals. Evangelist Kershaw’s motto is, “She WAS a woman with an issue who has been made ‘WHOLE’. For, in Him she lives, moves and has her being.”

Our Story

Evangelist Maxine Y. Kershaw is a native South Carolinian.  She is married to Bishop Keith A. Kershaw, Pastor, and Founder of Genesis Church of God in Christ.  Together, they are blessed to be the parents of one daughter, Rachel Victoria.
